Gambler’s Help offers specialist problem gambling services for health and welfare workers who deal with clients experiencing co-presenting issues.

The portfolio services program is a new initiative of the Gambler’s Help service, it aims to:

  • Deliver more coordinated and integrated problem gambling services within a broader system of care for problem gamblers and their families
  • Improve responses to the needs of clients presenting with the following co-morbid and co-presenting problem gambling issues:
    • mental health
    • family and relationship 
    • alcohol and drugs

What does the program offer?

  • Problem gambling outreach services to agencies already engaging with clients experiencing gambling related harm
  • Specialist secondary consultation
  • Specialist clinical problem gambling interventions in relevant service settings
  • New practice and clinical approaches, including single session and co-counselling
  • Workforce development and training

Where possible, services are co-located with other relevant health and welfare services to ensure a holistic approach to case management and referral.
