Multicultural Gamblers Help Program

CEH’s Multicultural Gambler’s Help Program works with the Gambler’s Help sector and community organisations to:

  • build knowledge of problem gambling in CALD communities
  • develop and implement inclusive and tailored early intervention and prevention strategies
  • improve access to problem gambling services
  • enhance organisational responsiveness to gambling related issues in CALD communities

Resources

MGHP produce a range of resources including a DVD, brochures and posters in a range of community languages. They also produce tip sheets to assist Gambler’s Help and other community services to provide a high standard of care to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) clients. View the resources

Training

The Multicultural Gambler’s Help Program provides free tailored training to community organisations and Gambler’s Help services on a range of topics, including:

  • Problem Gambling and CALD communities
  • Cultural Competence
  • Inclusive Intake and Assessment
  • Language Services
