Multicultural Gambler’s Help Program

CEH’s Multicultural Gambler’s Help Program works with the Gambler’s Help sector and community organisations to:

• build knowledge of problem gambling in CALD communities
• develop and implement inclusive and tailored early intervention and prevention strategies
• improve access to problem gambling services
• enhance organisational responsiveness to gambling related issues in CALD communities

This is achieved through research and consultation, workforce development and training, partnership projects and resource development and dissemination.

Chinese Peer Support Program

The Chinese Peer Support Program is a telephone service for problem gamblers and their families staffed by bi-lingual volunteers who have through their own issues related to gambling behaviour. It is free and confidential and is available state-wide.

Bilingual Problem Gambling Counselling Service – Vietnamese and Italian

This free service provides confidential telephone and face-to-face counselling, education sessions to raise awareness of gambling harm for community groups as well as training and support for service providers to help them recognise the signs of problem gambling.
