Department of Justice research:
A Study of Gambling in Victoria - Problem Gambling from a Public Health Perspective September 2009. This study examined gambling patterns in the community from a population health perspective and is the largest ever study on gambling undertaken in Victoria. This study was funded through the Victorian Government’s Taking Action on Problem Gambling commitment.
Gambling Research Australia Website and Clearinghouse is an initiative of the Ministerial Council on Gambling responsible for managing and implementing a national research agenda.
Problem Gambling Research and Treatment Centre is a collaboration between the Victorian Government through the Office of Gaming and Racing, Monash University and the University of Melbourne to conduct research and development that will lead to the development of effective, efficient and durable treatment programs for problem gambling and to train the problem gambling workforce to facilitate the delivery of efficient and effective services.
